Preparation before installation

Prepare tools and materials: Prepare a tape measure, cutting tools (such as wallpaper knives, scissors), scraper, hot air gun, cleaner, towel, etc., as well as PVC wood grain film.
Measure and cut: Use a tape measure to measure the size of the film application area, cut the wood grain film according to the measurement results, and leave a certain edge gap. After cutting, do not remove the release paper yet, place it on the test position on the construction surface to ensure the size is appropriate.
Installation method
Flat base layer film application: Start from one end, remove about 5-10 cm of the release paper, stick the wood grain film at one end and fix it, avoid tilting, then press the film from top to bottom, peel off the release paper gradually while sticking, and push out the air. After applying, use a scraper and wallpaper knife to remove the excess edges, if there are small bubbles, use the wallpaper knife to pierce small holes and press flat.
Right angle film application: First, apply diluted base oil on the base layer, dry it, and sand it smooth. Firmly stick one side, wear gloves at the corner position to press out the right angle marks, avoid forming a round corner, then heat blow with a hot air gun to press firmly, prevent later separation and peeling.
Inverted right angle film application: After sanding and applying base oil on the base layer, first press out the right angle on one side, temporarily do not press the bottom right angle, use the scraper to press out the bottom right angle, the middle of the concave surface can use the overlapping method to stick the film, cut off the excess part.
Film application on irregular surfaces such as stair handrails: Keep the room temperature at around 26℃ to ensure the back adhesive property. First, position the wood grain film on the handrail, use a wool scraper to remove air bubbles. When sticking the arc-shaped part, use the hot air gun to blow and gently pull the wood grain film to shape and fit while applying heat, finish at the side corner, cut off the excess part. Avoid sharp objects scraping: Although the PVC wood-grain film has certain wear resistance, it is still necessary to avoid using sharp objects to directly scrape its surface to prevent scratches and affect the appearance.
Control cleaning methods: You can use mild cleaning agents and soft damp cloths for wiping and cleaning. Avoid using corrosive cleaning agents such as strong acids and strong alkalis to prevent damage to the wood-grain film. After cleaning, it is necessary to dry it promptly to avoid long-term moisture residue, which may affect the service life.
Pay attention to temperature environment: Although the PVC wood-grain film has certain heat resistance, it should avoid being exposed to high temperatures for a long time.
